Hatha (Ha - Sun & Tha -Moon)
Hatha Yoga is for everyone and it helps create a harmonious balance between your solar and lunar energy. It is the foundation of all yoga practices and is suitable for all ages. Hatha Yoga enhances coordination of the muscles, strengthens the spine, quiets the mind and relieves stress.
Restorative or Yin Yoga
Restorative or Yin Yoga is a more passive form of yoga. It is all about slowing down, stretching deeply and relaxing your muscles. Restorative yoga helps provide and improve physical and mental balance and releases stress stored deep in the muscles.
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow is slightly more fast paced compared to Hatha or Yin Yoga. It focuses on the movement and flow between each posture. You work up a sweat whilst also strengthening and toning your body as well as calming the mind.
Meditation and pranayama (breathing) is one of the eight limbs of Yoga. It is not an act of doing but an act of awareness. It brings clarity, reduces stress and improves your overall quality of life. Learn how to detach yourself from your thoughts through breathing and personal awareness.
